Originally the village pub The Fox, as it was then called, dates from the early eighteen hundreds. A handsome building with a Georgian façade and sash windows, it was extensively refurbished and extended in 2010 to provide a contemporary open plan house whilst retaining its period elegance. Well positioned in the centre of the village, it overlooks the green and stands in three quarters of an acre with a pretty garden, paddock and several stables. The front door leads into an entrance porch and thence into the drawing room with a wood burning stove and a view over the green. For most, access is from the drive and garden to the south which leads to the rear entrance lobby and staircase hall. The generous open plan kitchen is fitted with an extensive range of appliances and an electric Aga. It has a formal dining area with French doors to the terrace as well as a comfortable sitting room with a wood burner and a door to the study. There is a spacious utility/boot room and adjacent cloakroom. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom, a guest bedroom with en-suite bathroom plus two further double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The property enjoys a mature south facing landscaped garden and a large sunny terrace which is ideal for outside dining and entertaining. There is ample parking on the gravel drive which also leads to the paddock and stable yard. In addition there are a variety of outbuildings suitable for a range of uses, storage, bicycles, workshop etc.
